The FSSAI has through its letter dated 20th March 2018 has focused on Implementation of Food Recall Regulation across India, it was decided to direct the 200 Centrally Licensed FBOs to submit a fresh plan on the recall management. These FBOs will be required to submit Recall Management Team details within 30 days of issuance of this letter to FSSAI and the recall plan within next 60 days of issuance of this letter to FSSAI Hq and respective FSSAI Regional office. These FBOs are also required to send the Recall plan by email at enforcement1@fssai.gov.in.
FSSAI Regional offices, at the time of renewal of FSSAI licenses of these 200 FBOs will take into account their adherence to the submission of recall plan as detailed above.
In view of above, you are therefore requested to take necessary action as deemed appropriate.
