Draft notification of Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2015 related to maximum limit of Iron fillings in Tea.

Notice calling for claims, suggestions, views, comments etc from WTO-SPS Committee Members within a period of 60 days on the draft amendment related to maximum limit of Iron fillings in Tea. 2. In the Food Safety and Standards (Food Product Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011, in regulation 2.10 relating to ‘Beverages, (other than dairy and fruits and vegetables based)’:-

(a) in sub-regulations 2.10.1 and 2.10.2 relating to ‘Tea’ and ‘Kangra Tea’ respectively, after the clause (f), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- “(g) Iron Filings (mg/kg): Not more than 150.
